RS-BA 1, which gained popularity by being able to operate many of our machines such as the flagship machine IC-7851 from a PC via IP, will be released as a new version with more various functions. Dualwatch operation and dual spectrum scopes with waterfall functions * can be used on a remote PC (RS-BA1 can be used with single receiver transceivers too).Version 2 of RSBA1 adds more features to the software, making interoperability between transceivers such as the IC-7610 or the IC-9700 interface simpler. Sorry for the ranting i just needed to vent a bit.Whether users are in another room, home or state, the RSBA1 allows users to operate their ham shack with only an IP connection. I'm a huge fan of Icom products but developing software does not seem to be their strong suit. I'm going to play a bit with the software to see what it can do but honestly i am not impressed at all so far to put it mildly. The spectrum scope is displayed in a separate window (i guess it's normal since the main window is so small) I have also not found how to display both receivers (A and B) at the same time. Unless i'm doing something wrong, the radio control app won't read the radio's memory so it looks like i need to program the memories again in the app (there is an import fonction to do it but still.) The app window can't be resized to your liking unless someone knows a trick. To give you an idea i have a 32 inches monitor and i could fit 6 instances of the app on it no matter if i select "Normal" and "large".

In the app there are only to sizes called "Normal" and "large" personally "Small" and "Smaller" would be more appropriate. Just receive the Icom RS-B1A v2 software today.I got it working thru a LAN connection without to much trouble in about 30 minutes on my 9700.My first deception is the window size of the radio control app. Not sure this the proper forum for this post so please move it to the proper location if necessary.
